entrance to paradise
in the project "entrance to paradise" i'm investigating places, which might lead to "paradise". to my surprise i discovered many of such transitions in the environment surrounding me. sometimes they are hidden, sometimes obvious, as soon as one has discovered them. some of them are easily accessable, others are obstructed. some are inviting, others seem daunting, even others pose a puzzle. one thing all of them have in common: before their discovery as such a transition point they were just ordinary places without any special meaning. the "paradise" is ment here as a metaphor for the realm of fantasy, which gets inspired at the sight of unexpected new ways and possibilities. what is possible beyond the known, the familiar, the normal everyday life? the viewer of the photographs is invited to start searching for such doors into the world of fantasy in their daily life as well.
